Memorial Day Parade
May 29-30th: Get Involved!
This year, a family of our church community thought it would be nice to sponsor a float in the Derby-Shelton Memorial Day Parade.
You can be involved in two major ways.
Firstly, we will be decorating the float on May 29th after our 10am service. This will start at approximately 12 o'clock and it should take about two hours to complete.
Secondly, anyone who wants to pass out brochures for our church, pass out candy, or just simply march to honor the veterans can participate in the parade itself on Monday, May 30th. The parade will be starting at 9am. In this stage we expect to have 5 - 10 people, all walking along side our float. Everyone will be handing out Living Hope flyers and candy. If you're interested please report to the corner of Cottage and Elizabeth St. Derby, CT by 8am Monday Morning. (Parking is going to be tough, so people might have to park in the shopping centers in Derby and then walk to the corner (about a mile). For any questions please call Mike Grey, or contact him through the Contact Us page.
